Our
Work

When you take a look at our work, you’ll notice one thing — We’re pretty industry-agnostic. Admittedly, this is for selfish reasons — our curiosity means we’re not very happy if we just write about one industry or niche. And if we’re not happy, Peapod doesn’t make much sense as a business, right?

My “never met a niche I didn’t like” mentality also means that I blend what I’ve learned in my years of copy and content creation for various industries — B2B tech, K-12 and higher education, nonprofit, e-commerce, tourism, and others — together to create the words that are right for your business and brand — not just your sandbox.

Mediasite & Sonic Foundry

SaaS/B2B Tech, Content Strategy & Creation

Mediasite is a SaaS-based suite of tools that allows the creation and curation of user-generated multimedia video content—think college lectures, virtual events, all-hands company meetings, and more. They were looking for a partner to help them think through a new campaign to get their on-premises customers to migrate to Mediasite’s cloud solution—helping them save time, money, and headaches in the long run.

I focused on a common pain point—the fear of the unknown around converting to the cloud, and used it the foundation for the “Embrace the Cloud with Confidence” campaign, which included a five-part email drip, a resource-focused landing page, and a new case study featuring the Texas Tech University’s Rawls College of Business.

Drippy Pots

E-Commerce, Website Copy

When you love pottery, and you find pottery that looks like the ceramic version of an ice cream cone, you pay attention. Drippy Pots is the work of Philadelphia-based ceramic artist Brian Giniewski, a former fine arts professor who wanted to marry his love for bright colors with a developing curiosity around viscous glazes.

His luscious, mouth-watering pots deserved copy that was equal parts playful and functional, so when Rochelle from Ratkaj Designs brought me in for the project, I was over the moon. Drippy Pots’ website copy doesn’t take itself too seriously, and nestles into Rochelle’s design like a comforting…you guessed it, bowl of your favorite ice cream.

New Leaders

K-12 Education Advocacy & Leadership, Blog Writing

With a tagline of “Leadership Changes Everything,” New Leaders believes that the solution to disrupting inequities in K-12 education is to build the capacity of diverse, equity-minded school leaders who are committed to the success of every child. Twenty years ago, the advocacy and leadership training organization launched Aspiring Principals, their flagship principal prep program that has gone on to develop more than 8,000 leaders in over 45 cities across the United States.

New Leaders wanted to build their brand and expand their reach with SEO-optimized content around subjects like equity, distributed leadership, and more — and that started with having consistent blog content. Through my work with New Leaders, I’ve been able to write about and explore many

UW-Madison School of Human Ecology

Higher Education, Social Media Strategy & Content

Anytime the University of Wisconsin-Madison is involved, I’m in (proud alum here!). The School of Human Ecology (SoHE) is an incredible place — at its core, its goal is to help students understand themselves and the people around them in ways that make them happier, healthier, and better prepared to change the world. SoHE offers undergraduate and graduate majors in Consumer Science, Human Development & Family Studies, Design Studies, Interior Architecture, Personal Finance, Community & Nonprofit Leadership, and more (basically, all of my favorite things to write about in one school).

SoHE wanted to make sure their social media was full of the humans that make their tight-knit school what it is. In designing their social media strategy for LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram — and also writing their social media content — I get to tell microstories of their incredible faculty, amazing students, and truly innovative classes and programs. Working on their social is the best part of my day.

The Education Trust-West

K-12 Education Policy & Advocacy, Social Media Strategy & Content

A nonprofit educational equity organization based in Oakland, CA, The Education Trust-West focuses on educational justice and closing achievement and opportunity gaps from preschool through college through a blend of research, data, policy analysis, and advocacy.

The team at Ed Trust had no shortage of great content to share — and in partnering with my long-time collaborator Rochelle from Ratkaj Designs on strategy and visual content, we were able to slice their reports and briefs into the kind of microcontent we knew their fans and followers preferred. Not only did we squeeze months worth of content from a few meaty assets, but we also were able to increase the organic engagement on their social media channels by 93% on Twitter, and 150% on Linkedin.

Nikki Pounds & HR Unequivocally

HR Consulting & Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Training, LinkedIn & Blog Ghostwriting

Nikki Pounds—the owner of HR Unequivocally, an HR consulting and DEI training firm based out of Charlotte, North Carolina—knew she had an endless amount of insights and learnings from her 20+ year career in HR. She also knew she had zero time to write any of it.

Knowing that consistent engaging content on LinkedIn and through her company’s blog was the way to build her personal brand and HR Unequivocally’s brand simultaneously, she partnered with me to help her organize, synthesize, and ultimately bring her thoughts to life through ghostwritten posts. She gets to concentrate on running her business, knowing that there’s always a steady stream of content there to keep her top of mind with potential clients and partners. (Oh, and we’re getting closer to her goal of 5,000 LinkedIn followers!)

It's been Fun

But how about we talk about your project next?
